Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OneCase collects, uses, and shares your information when you use onecaseapp.com and the OneCase application (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication details when you sign in.
- Case information: details you provide about your legal situation during intake (for example, what happened, dates, parties, injuries, and documents).
- Payment method information: when you save a payment method, it is handled by our third-party payment processor.
- Usage information: how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited and device or browser type.
2. How we use information
- To match you with attorneys and provide the Service.
- To communicate with you about your case and your account.
- To process the one-time $44.99 Standard or $64.99 Expedite platform fee if and when you select an attorney, electronically sign that attorney's retainer, and complete the separate OneCase platform-fee e-sign.
- To use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to help structure and summarize the case information you provide and to operate the Service.
- To improve, secure, and operate the Service.
3. Sharing your information
When you submit intake information, you authorize OneCase to share it with attorneys and law firms to match you with legal help. We may also share information:
- With third-party funding companies only when you request optional living-expense funding on a qualifying contingency case. We do not share case information with funding companies on retainer matters such as criminal defense.
- With service providers that help us operate the Service, including providers of email, hosting, database and authentication, payment processing, and artificial intelligence services.
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We share information only as described in this Policy.
Submitting information to OneCase does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship with OneCase or any attorney. Whether communications with an attorney are protected by attorney-client privilege or other confidentiality protections depends on the circumstances and applicable law. OneCase handles submitted information as described in this Policy.
4. Local storage
The Service uses your browser's local storage to keep your sign-in session and remember which case you were viewing. Case records and case memory are stored through the application and are not kept in your browser's local storage. You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Data retention
We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise these rights, contact cases@onecaseapp.com.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
